A Love Trifecta on P&O Cruises for Travel Agent Nicole

P&O Cruises has steered a winning streak in the romantic life of Blacktown travel agent Nicole Tucker and her husband Wayne, with a trifecta of the couple’s most significant life events taking place onboard the cruise line’s ships.

Nicole and Wayne first met on P&O Cruises’ Pacific Sky in 2003. They became engaged while cruising in 2007 on another of the cruise line’s ships, Pacific Dawn.

And just to complete the romantic trifecta at sea, Nicole and Wayne recently celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary on P&O Cruises’ Pacific Pearl with lunch for two in the onboard Salt Grill restaurant by celebrity chef Luke Mangan.

Now leader of Harvey World Travel Blacktown’s groups and marketing activities, Nicole most recently cruised on Pacific Pearl for a three-night Partnership Summit during which P&O Cruises hosted more than 300 travel agents. For Nicole and Wayne, who live in Sydney’s west at St Clair, the cruise was an opportunity to remember their first meeting on Pacific Sky.

“I was with my sister, a cousin and a girlfriend and on the first night of the cruise we met Wayne and his friends,” Nicole said. “Wayne invited me on one of the day tours to Amedee Island in Noumea and we just spent a lovely day together.

“He used to work at Rosehill Racecourse and when we returned to Sydney he invited me to the races for a corporate box event.”

Nicole grew up on her parents’ sheep station near Canberra and after a year of commuting between Canberra and Sydney she moved to Sydney and the rest, as they say, is history.

These days, Nicole enjoys arranging holidays for her clients and who’s to know how many involve romantic outcomes similar to her own.

“I get excited for my clients about their upcoming holidays,” Nicole said. “It is good to be able to show them destinations that you have already been to yourself. You can talk about extra things they might not know about, the tips on where to go and what to do.”

The couple are now proud parents of two little boys, Hugh aged three years and Dylan 10 months. They are looking forward to taking the boys cruising for a family holiday next.
