P&O LAUNCHES ALL BLACK PARTY FOR KIWI CRUISERS

P&O Cruises has launched an exclusive party concept for Kiwis during Pacific Pearl’s five-month New Zealand deployment.

Guests cruising on Pacific Pearl from Auckland are invited to pack black for Nero, the P&O All Black Party, with All Blacks gear expected to be a popular outfit choice during the quintessential Kiwi deck party.

An extension and reversal of the cruise line’s existing Bianco, the P&O White Party, Nero has been created especially for New Zealand guests and will see the main deck transformed into a black out at sea with a themed media wall, face painting, bunting and live bands and a DJ playing great party music including some New Zealand hits.

P&O Cruises Head of Entertainment Brett Annable said Nero was sure to be a cruise highlight for Kiwi holidaymakers.

“Pacific Pearl is New Zealand’s ship so we wanted to create a party that was as distinctly Kiwi as the All Blacks. With Nero featuring as the sailaway party of a cruise, Pacific Pearl’s Auckland sailaways are set to take on a fun, new shade,” Mr Annable said.

The addition of the new Nero party is part of a revamp of entertainment offerings, which has seen P&O rolling out new party concepts across its expanded five-ship fleet including Bianco, the P&O White Party, a new Gatsby-themed cocktail evening, a Vegas pool party and Back to School party.

Nero will feature as a sailaway event on all cruises of four nights or more and as an afternoon deck party on the final sea day of cruises of three nights or less. The Bianco party and Gatsby cocktail evening will continue to be offered on all cruises of two nights or more.
