Lauren Miller - General Counsel, Carnival Australia

Lauren Miller began her career with Carnival Australia’s legal team in 2006 and was appointed General Counsel in 2016.

The winner of the Association of Corporate Counsel’s prestigious Young Lawyer Achiever of the Year award in 2015, Lauren advises on legal issues in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands as well as matters of international law such as maritime jurisdiction.

Her responsibilities span multiple jurisdictions, complex domestic and international regulatory frameworks and uncharted, evolving areas of the law. 

Lauren is passionate about travel and development and holds a Masters of Law and International Development from the University of Sydney. She undertook an internship with the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative in Ghana, focussing on child trafficking, and also travelled to Nepal where she helped rural communities establish water sanitation facilities.
