P&O Cruises’ Pacific Jewel made the most of its Royal Box position at Sydney’s Circular Quay on Friday, unveiling a special message for the visiting Prince of Wales.
Before Prince Charles arrived at the Quay’s Overseas Passenger Terminal, the cruise ship unfurled a 24x7-metre banner on its bow, emblazoned with the words “Royal Suite Available”.
P&O Cruises Senior Vice President Tammy Marshall said it was a wonderful coincidence that “an Australian Jewel” should be at the Quay during the royal Sydney visit.
“Of course, from the Captain’s cocktails through to our fine dining restaurants, everyone on our ships is treated like royalty, but we wanted Prince Charles to know we’d love to have him and the Duchess of Cornwall onboard too,” Ms Marshall said.
