P&O Cruises is serving up plenty of sporting action in the months ahead with new cruises to the Australian Open tennis tournament joining a starting line-up that already includes two Melbourne Cup cruises.

The inaugural four-night Australian Open cruise from Sydney to Melbourne is scheduled for January 20, 2014, with fares from $609* per person quad share, while a second five-night cruise is scheduled for January 19, 2015.

Timed to coincide with the singles quarter final matches, the cruises will include transfers to Melbourne Park Tennis Centre and general admission into the grounds. Passengers will also receive first pick of ticket upgrades to Rod Laver Arena from just $100 before they go on sale to the general public.

Passengers will be able to soak up all the thrills of race day, plus swap fashion and form tips with other guests during the lead up to the Melbourne Cup with several onboard events, including parades, competitions and sweepstakes taking place throughout the cruise.

Fares on the six-night cruises onboard Pacific Jewel and Pacific Pearl, departing November 1, 2014, start from $1099* per person quad share and includes transfers to and from Flemington Racecourse and general admission to the raceway.
