P&O Cruises will be kicking some goals with football lovers this winter, with a new State of Origin promotion giving Blues and Maroons fans onboard credit when they book a cruise.
To celebrate the annual rugby league battle between Queensland and New South Wales, the cruise line is offering passengers who book select cruises the day after each Origin game the chance to receive the equivalent of the local team’s points in onboard credit.
For instance, passengers booking a cruise departing from Brisbane will get the Maroons total added to their onboard account while those booking a cruise departing from Sydney will receive the equivalent of the Blues score as onboard credit.
The State of Origin One Day Sales will run the day after each game on June 6, June 27 and July 18.
Meanwhile passengers will once again be able to watch the three Origin games live across the P&O Cruises’ fleet this winter.
