P&O Cruises World Cruising Covers the Globe in 2015 as Britannia arrival Heralds a New Era in Cruise Voyages

P&O Cruises World Cruising will offer new ship features and more holiday destinations in 2015 in its largest-ever program covering more than 200 cruises across eight ships.

2015 marks a new era of holidays at sea for P&O Cruises World Cruising passengers, with the cruise line’s latest ship Britannia headlining a program which includes 15 new destinations including Tobermory in Scotland, Fredrikstad in Norway and Bonifacio in Corsica. Meanwhile popular favourites returning to the line-up include Heraklion in Crete and Hvar in Croatia.

Combining the excitement of cruising with the sophistication of a luxury hotel, Britannia will debut in February 2015 as the biggest and most glamorous ship ever built for the British market.

P&O Cruises World Cruising has signed the talent of the British culinary scene to enhance passengers’ dining experience and establish Britannia as the most celebrated place to dine at sea.

Celebrity chef Marco Pierre White will create the menus for the gala evenings, Michelin star holder and ‘master of spices’ Atul Kochhar will feature in Sindhu fine dining restaurant, TV wine personality Olly Smith will personally select wines in The Glass House bar and grill and Britain’s favourite TV chef James Martin will lead the new Cookery School. Master patissier ‘Cake Boy’ Eric Lanlard will be part of the new Market Café and create Britannia’s new Champagne afternoon tea.

Passengers cruising in Britannia’s maiden European season will enjoy cruises with the new ‘Food Heroes’ as well as fun with Strictly Come Dancing themed cruises and music festivals at sea. Britannia’s maiden season will see the ship sail from Southampton to the Mediterranean, Norwegian Fjords, Canary Islands and the Baltic Sea, as well as offering a range of short breaks and a special round-Britain cruise taking in the “Best of the British Isles”. Fares start from $2139* for a 12-night roundtrip British Isles cruise from Southampton on July 6, 2015.

P&O Cruises World Cruising’s 2015 program also offers a range of cruises in the warm waters of the Mediterranean on the stunning Oceana.

From late March until October Oceana will sail from Genoa and Venice on seven and 14-night cruises with calls to up to nine destinations including Genoa, Dubrovnik, Venice, Corfu and Monte Carlo allowing passengers to experience the best of the region. Fares start from $1499* for a 14-night roundtrip cruise from Genoa on April 1, 2015.

Meanwhile Adonia’s smaller size will enable her to offer discovery cruises in 2015, with “off the beaten track” destinations including a 16-night cruise to the Baltic where she will sail through the Kiel Canal and pay visits to Fredrikstad, Visby, Sassnitz and Wismar, as well as a popular seven-night voyage to the picturesque Norwegian Fjords.
