Carnival Australia welcomes Tammy Marshall as Senior Vice President, P&O Cruises

Carnival Australia CEO, Ann Sherry, today announced the appointment of Tammy Marshall to the key role of Senior Vice President of P&O Cruises.

In this newly created role on the Carnival Australia executive team, Tammy will drive commercial operations for P&O Cruises and have responsibility for cross-brand functions including Complete Cruise Solution.

Tammy was most recently Managing Director of Inspiring Journeys and AAT Kings and will bring more than 21 years of experience in the travel industry to Carnival Australia when she joins in mid October.

“Tammy has established herself as an authority in the tourism industry and is ideally suited to lead our crew as we continue the double digit annual growth of the industry, drive the evolution of cruising in Australia and deliver the best possible product and experience for P&O Cruises passengers,” Ms Sherry said. 

 “We searched far and wide to find the best possible leader for this critical role in one of Australia’s most iconic brands and Tammy meets the bill.”

Tammy said she was excited to be joining the fastest growing sector of the Australian tourism industry.

“P&O Cruises has been a pioneer in cruising for the past 80 years and I look forward to playing a part in developing the next chapter of the P&O story,” Ms Marshall said.

Since 2010, Tammy managed the strategic direction and business management of AAT Kings and its coach company in Australia and New Zealand, as well as the brand’s key markets of United Kingdom, USA, Canada, Japan and Europe.

Tammy also spent seven years as the Managing Director of iconic youth travel brand Contiki and Contiki Resorts where she transformed the brand into a leading travel and lifestyle brand by tailoring its product and overall brand to suit the modern day youth traveller.

Tammy holds a Bachelor of Business and completed an MBA in 2002.

Tammy will join the Carnival Australia crew on Monday 15 October 2012.
