P&O Cruises’ PNG Sneak Preview on Today Show

P&O Cruises will be giving Australians a taste of its new Papua New Guinea cruises this week, with Nine’s Today Show presenting its weather updates from the nation’s exotic remote islands.

The show’s popular weather presenter Steve Jacobs will appear in live crosses from the Trobriand Islands and Rabaul each morning from Tuesday October 15 to Friday October 18, as the cruise line prepares for its first ever dedicated cruise to Papua New Guinea later this month.

Throughout the week, viewers around Australia will be able to see the wonders of the Rabaul Volcano, explore the city’s rich World War II history and watch locals play a game of unique Trobriand cricket.

The crosses will offer an insight into what guests will experience when P&O Cruises’ Pacific Dawn sets sail on its inaugural Papua New Guinea cruise from Brisbane on October 31. Pacific Dawn will offer a second cruise to Papua New Guinea in November, while next year’s schedule will feature four cruises to the northern neighbour from both Brisbane and Sydney.

Today Show’s Papua New Guinea crosses air from 6am Tuesday October 15 on Channel Nine.
