Carnival New Zealand Expands Team

As the New Zealand cruise market continues to grow, Carnival New Zealand has announced several changes to its operations, including the expansion of its sales team with the appointment of a new Business Development Manager.

In a move which follows the model adopted by Carnival Australia last year, members of Carnival New Zealand’s sales team will now focus on specific brands.

Announcing the changes, Carnival New Zealand Sales Manager Belinda Clark said the company had appointed former Emirates Sales Executive Andy Bruce as its new Business Development Manager for P&O Cruises and Cunard.

Meanwhile Melissa Bannister will now be Business Development Manager for Princess Cruises.

“The local market has grown so much, we’ve decided to follow suit,” Ms Clark said.

“Whilst our operation provides sales support, marketing and representation for all the cruise lines we represent in New Zealand – P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises, Cunard and P&O Cruises World Cruising – our two dedicated Business Development Managers will be focussed on their designated cruise lines.

“This will enable us to create a greater focus for our individual cruise brands as well as a greater footprint and relationship with our trade partners, who are key to the success of our business.

“With one of the busiest cruise seasons already in full swing, the expansion of the team comes at the perfect time for Carnival New Zealand,” she said.
