Carnival Australia CEO Ann Sherry today welcomed the appointment of Margy Osmond as CEO of the Tourism and Transport Forum as a positive step for the organisation and the sector.
Ms Sherry said Margy’s move to TTF from her leadership role in the retail sector was a natural progression and recognised her advocacy and communication skills.
“Margy is a strong advocate as well as a passionate and successful communicator with a deep understanding of the link between business success, economic development and employment growth,” Ms Sherry said.
“Margy’s transition from an industry organisation whose members employ more than a half a million Australians between them recognises the tourism sector’s potential to grow as a job generating economic powerhouse.
“I am looking forward to working with Margy to ensure that the sector lives up to its full potential. Margy’s leadership of TTF will play a big part in this happening in coming years.”
