CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL FOUNDATION NAMED AS CARNIVAL’S QUEENSLAND CHARITY PARTNER

Today Carnival Cruise Line announced a new charity partnership with the Children's Hospital Foundation, the official charity of the Queensland Children's Hospital.

The partnership is in preparation for Carnival Spirit’s repositioning to her new home of Brisbane in October 2020, sailing year-round from the Sunshine State.

Carnival will raise funds onboard Carnival Spirit via its ‘Conga for Kids’ initiative. Guests on every Carnival Spirit cruise will be invited to join in on an exclusive top deck dance party to raise donations directly for the hospital by purchasing a $20 ‘Conga for Kids’ T-shirt.

Rosie Simpson, CEO of the Children’s Hospital Foundation said: “The support we will receive from Carnival will be instrumental in enhancing our services with the funds aiding vital research, new equipment and entertainment to support children and their families in hospital.”

Jennifer Vandekreeke, Carnival Cruise Line Australia Vice-President and General Manager, added: “Kids and families are at the heart of what we do. Carnival carries more kids and families than any other cruise line in the world. That’s why we’re extremely proud to be partnering with the Children’s Hospital Foundation to support the health and welfare of Queensland kids and their families.”
