P&O Cruises Wins Award for Best Itineraries

P&O Cruises has been recognised by the readers of prestigious American cruise magazine Porthole, winning the award for Best Australia/New Zealand Itineraries in the publication’s annual Readers' Choice Awards.

P&O Cruises Senior Vice President Tammy Marshall said it was fantastic to be recognised by the readers of the international cruise publication.

“P&O Cruises has been cruising from Australia for more than 80 years,” Ms Marshall said.

“We pride ourselves on being the experts in cruising from this region and have developed our itineraries to reflect the best that Australia and New Zealand has to offer.

“That includes providing our guests with a taste of the region by incorporating the freshest local ingredients in our menus and offering shore tours that provide an insider’s view of every destination they visit,” she said.

“Winning this award – particularly as it is voted by readers – is a great sign that we are hitting the mark with our itineraries and innovations.”

The Porthole Readers' Choice Awards have been operating for 15 years and category winners are chosen through a combination of online votes and paper ballots.

Award winners will be featured in the December 2013 issue of the US-based magazine.
